Aimie Akinyi started Shine Bay Cleaners in Nairobi during COVID, when her employer stopped bringing anyone into work and stopped paying them. She picked cleaning because she loves doing it. Inside a year she went from cleaning houses alone to running a residential and commercial operation with a team of six, covering upholstery, post-construction cleaning, general housekeeping, and now fumigation. She estimates around 90% of her clients come from social media, almost entirely her Facebook Business Page, which has passed 4,000 followers.
The content is the work itself. She photographs and films every job, roughly five photos and two videos, then picks the shots with the best angle and lighting. Before and after clips of upholstery cleaning pull the biggest reaction, because seeing is believing. Captions stay short, a line like naming the job and inviting the next one, with her phone number right there so nobody has to go hunting. On days with no jobs booked she posts a cleaning service flyer instead, to remind people she exists. She made her first logo and her first flyers herself, because money was tight and there was nobody else to do it.
You can build the same proof. Make your flyers from cleaning service flyer templates, and when a job photographs well, put the before and after side by side with the photo collage maker. Keep your number and your colours consistent with Brand Kits, then post the same design everywhere from the social publisher rather than uploading it three times.
